J.R.V. reported:

I got a phone message from some IRS impersonator Julie Smith. I called back and a guy with Indo-Pakistani accent answered, he introduced himself as Mark Dawson officer id number 1840180 and asked for my ss number, then he told me that I owed the IRS $ 3,824.00 in miscalculated back taxes. He said the IRS was taking me to court and the only way to stop that was to make an arrangement over the phone with a down payment of $ 1000.00 within 2 hours, and 50.00 monthly. I told him I couldn't do so, he put me on hold to talk to his supervisor, he came back and told me they could take 500.00 right now,and 50.00 every month. I replied the best down payment i could do was 100.00 maybe 200.00. The guy put me on hold to consult a supervisor again, and he came back to ask me to drive to the nearest Windixie, CVS, or Walgreen to make a bill payment voucher. I told the guy I that I would do that after work and hung up on him. He called me back upset and asked me why I hung up on him and requested me not to hang up and drive to the nearest CVS with him on the phone. I started to suspect something was wrong and I told the guy I definitely will hang up and I will call the IRS number I know. I hung up and search the numbers on the internet and confirmed they are not the IRS
